Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi is an initiative by the Indian government that was initially declared by Piyush Goyal on 1^st February 2019 during the Interim Union Budget of India. Under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, all the farmers of India will get up to Rs 6,000 per year as minimum income support. The eligible farmers will receive the amount of Rs 6,000 in three installments and the payment will be deposited directly to their respective bank accounts. Our honorable PM Shri Narendra Modi launched this scheme in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur by transferring the first installment money of Rs 2,000 each to around two crore farmers.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Features

Some of the key features of PM Kisan Yojana are stated below:

• PM Kisan Yojana is a Central Sector scheme by the government of India that aims to increase the income of the Small and Marginal farmers (SMFs).
• Under this scheme, Rs 6000 per year will be provided to all the farmer families in three equal installments of Rs 2000 each every four months. The payment will be deposited directly into their respective bank accounts.
• Family defined under this scheme includes husband, wife, and minor children.
• PM Kisan scheme intends to augment the financial needs of the SMFs in acquiring various inputs to assure proper crop health and appropriate yields corresponding with the expected farm income at the end of each crop cycle.
• Farmers can enroll both online and offline. For offline enrollment, the farmer has to visit the local patwari/nodal officer/revenue officer appointed by the state government.
• Identification will be carried out by the State Government or Union Territory Government.

When is PM Kisan 5^th list coming out?

The farmers who have applied for the PM Kisan scheme and have received money for four installments will get the fifth installment in April/May. However, the farmers who have received only first and second installments, they will be getting their next installment in April/May.

Also, if the applicant’s name mentioned in the application form differs from that in the Aadhaar card, they are required to get their name corrected so that they can receive the next installment. The applicant can also visit the Krishi department or the tehsil office to clear all their doubts regarding PM Kisan Yojana.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Beneficiary List 2020

Farmers who are awaiting the beneficiary list can check the list from the link provided on the official website https://pmkisan.gov.in/#. The information can be checked both state-wise and district-wise. The farmers mentioned in the beneficiary list will be provided the money under the PM Kisan scheme. After the money is transferred, the farmers can go through their Kisan dashboard on the portal and check the details regarding the transaction.

There are some states where the PM Kisan beneficiary list has still not been updated. Farmers of these states are requested to keep calm for some days since the list will be updated very soon.

Follow the steps below to check the beneficiary status of PM Kisan Yojana:

2. Click on the tab ‘Farmers Corner’ and select the ‘Beneficiary Status’ button
3. You will be now redirected to a new page where you can choose from the list of ‘Aadhar Number’, ‘Mobile number’, or ‘Account number’ and click on the ‘Get Data’ button.
4. The beneficiary status of PM Kisan Yojana will now appear on the screen.

What are the eligibility criteria to apply for PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?

1. Farmers belonging to any Indian state (both rural and urban areas) are eligible for this scheme.
2. The farmers should have a Jan-Dhan account number or a savings account, Aaadhar card, and mobile number to avail of the benefits of this scheme. The amount will be transferred directly to their bank accounts.
3. Multi-tasking staff, Class IV, and Group D employees are also eligible.

Documents required for the PM Kisan Yojana

1. Name of the farmer, age, gender, and category (SC/ST)

Aadhaar Card (except for farmers belonging to states of Assam, Meghalaya and Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh) Candidates belonging to these areas can provide documents like Voters ID card, Driving license, NREGA Job card, or any other document issued by Central/State/Union governments for verification purposes.

Who is excluded from the PM Kisan Yojana?

1. All institutional landholders
2. Farmer families where one or more members belongs to the following categories:

• Former and present holders of any constitutional posts.
• Former or present (Ministers, State Ministers, MPs of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha, Members of State Legislative Assemblies/ State Legislative Councils, former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of district panchayats.)
• All persons who paid income tax in the last assessment year are not eligible.
• Serving or retired officers and the employees of central/state government ministries/offices/departments, and its field units central PSEs and attached offices/autonomous institutions under government along with regular employees of the local bodies (excluding Multi-tasking staffs, Class IV and Group D employees)
• Very old/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is more than Rs 10,000.
• Doctors, Lawyers, Architects, Chartered Accountants, and Engineers registered with professional bodies or are currently practicing this profession.

How to apply for PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in 2020?

Eligible farmers can register for PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in online mode by going to the official website of PM Kisan Yojana https://pmkisan.gov.in/#. They can also register by visiting their nearby common service centers (CSCs) by paying the required application fee.

Follow the steps below to apply for PM Kisan Yojana via online mode:

1. Go to the official website of PM Kisan Yojana https://pmkisan.gov.in/#
2. Click on the ‘Farmers Corner’ button given at the homepage.
3. Select the ‘New Farmers Registration’ button from the dropdown menu.

1. Enter your Aadhaar card number and security text and click on the ‘Click here to continue’ button.
2. Next, you will be redirected to a registration page. Fill in the basic details like name, sub-district, block name, village, mobile number, etc and click on the ‘Save’ button.
3. After the registration process is over, you will receive a confirmation SMS on your registered mobile number.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Online correction

• Go to the official website of PM Kisan Yojana https://pmkisan.gov.in/#
• The homepage of the PM Kisan portal will now appear. Now, click on the ‘Farmers Corner’ button given at the homepage.
• Next, click on the ‘Edit Farmer Details’ tab from the drop-down menu.
• Enter your Aaadhar Number and Captcha code, and click on the ‘Search’ button.
• All the details you have mentioned in the application like name, sub-district, block name, village, Aadhaar number, etc will now appear.
• To edit the details, click on the ‘Edit’ tab.
• After clicking the ‘Edit’ option, the details that need to be corrected will be indicated with a blank box. Enter the details in the space given and click on the ‘update’ button.
• All your details will be corrected now.

• Next, click on ‘status of self-registered farmers/CSC.
• You will be redirected to a new page where you need to enter the Aadhaar Number and an image text.
• If your application status has been submitted successfully, it will show you your current status in the PM Kisan Scheme.

PM Kisan Mobile App 2020

The government of India has launched an android application ‘PM Kisan app’ on 24^th February 2020 on the eve of completing one year of PM Kisan Yojana. The application was launched to widen the outreach of benefits to the farmers. This app will enable farmers to check important information related to this scheme like PM Kisan registration status, beneficiary status, helpline number, etc without having to visit the official website.

How to check the PM Kisan Beneficiary status via the mobile app?

1. Install the PM Kisan GoI app on your mobile phone through Playstore.
2. Once you install the application, tap on the ‘open’ button.
3. After the app opens, its homepage will appear on the screen. All the services available on this app will be shown.
4. If you want to check your beneficiary status, you are required to tap on it.
5. Under the beneficiary status, choose from Aadhaar/account number/mobile number.
6. Select id, enter the value and click on the ‘Get Details’ tab to check the PM Kisan beneficiary status.
